What we do
UK Tax Tools is an independent project publishing free interactive calculators for the tax questions people search for most: self-employed National Insurance, inheritance tax on gifts, and checking whether you have overpaid tax.
Every calculator uses the official 2025/26 HMRC rates and thresholds, and we publish our full methodology and test cases so the numbers can be checked, not just trusted.
What we are not
We are not HMRC, not a government service, and not a tax firm. We do not sell tax advice, courses, or "get rich" schemes. We do not collect personal data – nothing you type into a calculator leaves your browser. We are not compensated to push any specific product; any future affiliate links will be clearly disclosed.
